1. Locking using the Keyboard Shortcut

2. Locking from the Start Menu

  1. Open the Start menu by pressing the Start button.

3. Using the Ctrl + Alt + Del Keys

The trio key combination of Ctrl + Alt + Del is known by everybody who has ever tried to troubleshoot in Windows. Now, you can also use it to lock your screen and this is especially useful if your computer is being sluggish.

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del.
  2. Click on Lock.

4. Set a Lock Timer

Another thing you can lock your PC is by setting an auto-lock timer to lock your PC after a certain period of inactivity.

  1. Open the Settings app and search for Power & Sleep.
  2. From here, you can select the time after which the screen turns off and locks.
