Adobe Illustrator is a drawing program that is used for the creation and editing of vector graphics. It applies paths instead of bitmaps when creating images as opposed to Photoshop. This allows the user to alter or resize drawings with no loss in the quality of images. It is most commonly used for the creation of logos, digital art, signs, drawings, and other types of graphics. The 2017 version offers a new gradient type called Freeform. This offers new color blending abilities that allow the creation of photorealistic and richer gradients which look more natural.
